Hi Jesse,
I know there are multiple older threads about iPhone ports, so you already know there's big interest in a native app. And since you've got a Touch, I'm sure you want one too.
Have you had time to explore the SDK yet? What was your reaction?
Taskpaper for my iPhone is equivalent to Epocrates for doctors: it would make all the difference.
Thanks, Peter
Since the SDK has been released, I was wondering if there were any plans to do a port of WriteRoom to the iPhone?
I do a lot of writing when I am out-and-about on a PDA (HP iPAQ) and then sync in back to WriteRoom via MissingSync. It's a little annoying, because I have to use PocketWord which stores documents in that Pocket Office format (which is annoying), and means that any NEW documents have to be first created in WriteRoom and then synced over to the iPAQ before I can start writing. A little tedious.
Would anyone else find an iPhone port handy?
I have to concede, I haven't yet been able to get my hands on an iPhone - so I have no idea how well they would function in a word processing capacity. I live in Australia, and Apple is taking its merry time introducing the device to market. I haven't been able to find much in the way of reviewers discussing the word processing ability of the iPhone. I use a stylus on the iPAQ, and it's quick. The iPhone uses that two finger keyboard... how well would that work with something like WriteRoom.
Anyway - would love to hear other peoples thoughts.
Cheers.
