Taskpaper is a great application, I love that is simply works on formatted text.
Feature Request: Rules Engine
A Rules engine would allow taskpaper users to customize task paper to act for them when editing. Rules could work like mail where each rule has a criteria and then a series of actions. The actions could be taken from the current task paper menu items with some helpful extras added (like "add text", "add to ical")
With a rules engine ical integration could be done
NOTE: Just noticed, TaskPaper 2 Dev (51) has the Email functionality (though it displays as message://%3CBAY105--gibberish-80@phx.gbl%3E) - close enough. Would like to see Files as well.
TaskPaper is one awesome application. However, I have one feature I'd like to see: file / mail attachments, like so:

Also like in iCal:

Any way that it's implementable into TaskPaper? That would be killer.
Thanks!
Hi,
I realise you're working hard on Taskpaper 2.0 but would it be possible to have Taskpaper to display the number of items in each tab? eg. if I have a tab for a project "Errands", and there are 5 items in this project. It would be nice if the tab could show Errands (5).
Thanks.
It'd be great to have a checkbox in the preferences to always have TaskPaper immediately commit all changes to disk. In other words, within a few seconds after typing into a document, the entire contents of the document is written to disk.
Similarly (but less important) TaskPaper would periodically check (again, every few seconds) whether the file on disk has been modified. If so, automatically load it from disk.
Effectively what I want is so I never have to choose to re-open or save a document ever again. I rarely make mistakes, and when I do, I can undo them with TaskPaper's undo system.
