I've tried to like 'WR,' but being an old professional writer going back to 'Word Perfect' (when launched/owned by Mormons), I'm beginning to wonder if paying for 'WR' was a mistake. There are many (too many) bugs!
The latest, just moments before writing this...
I'm composing in a document having selected the background and text colors. Suddenly on page #3, the text color changes from black to green for no reason. I have no idea what to do?
But, these kinds of problems, caused by bringing out software too early and letting users correct all the mistakes, I don't want.
You're driving me to return to MS Word!

I'm surprised to hear this, generally I get great feedback on WriteRoom, and looking at my todo list I really don't see any critical bugs... yes it does have some bugs, and wanted features. But that's pretty part for the course for a software project. Unfortunately I don't yet have an easy way to find your previous posts in these forums, but if you quickly enumerate all the problems that you feel are critical that would certainly help me if I've missed any of them.
I need more information. Are you working with an RTF document? Did you select the background and foreground colors in the document (as part of the RTF formatting) or did you select the colors in the full screen preferences.
I suspect what is happening is:
In that case the default color that's applied in full screen mode (green) will be overridden by the RTF values.
If that's what is happening you can just select the effected text and apply the colors again.
What version are you using? If you are using 3.0, then that's just part of my development process. I release it early (as a development version) so that users can test it and find bugs. If you are using the current official release all I can say is that it also went through an open development process and had lots of people test it before I made a release. I don't remember much talk at all (or since really except for your post) about it not being ready for release.
