Feature Request: Persistent Kern

Hi there,

I'd like to be able to change the default kern so that all new documents open with the new setting (of Loosen). Is that possible? Maybe I've missed it...

If not, any chance of including it in a future release?

It's not obvious, but I thinks it's possible. Go to the text editing preferences pane. Click on the plain text document attributes text that says "I'm a cat..." to give that text view focus. Then select the menu:

Format > Font > Kern > Loosen

You should see the kerning loosen on the "I'm a cat..." text and that kern setting should be used for any new plain text documents that you create.
