Here's a new development version of WriteRoom with some minor changes that work around and odd bug that could happen when using WriteRoom together with spaces. When doing that the minimize buttons (in other applications, in other spaces) could get disabled. This release fixes that:

I"m having problems with this release and the use of ellipsis. If I do anything that consists of more than a couple periods in a row (.........) There are some weird freezing behaviors with the cursor and the way WR attempts to format it, which differ from the latest official release. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything else. Thanks a lot for your constant work Jesse; incredible product!

In the text editing preferences try turning off "Enable smart ellipses in new documents". Let me know if that solves the problem. (for an existing document you'll need to turn this off from the Edit > Substitutions menu.

Is this test version compatible with quickcursor or should I keep using Leopard test version for that?

I haven't bought WriteRoom yet, but am planning to. However, are you planning on charging for the upgrade to 3.0? I saw that in the forums you're planning to change your upgrades policy.
