I would have sent this directly to the HogBay person (people) but I just wanted to say that Task Paper is THE BEST part of the MacHeist Bundle. I love its simplicity and it totally kicks the to-do in Calendar and Mail butt in Leopard.
However, I would have never bought this on its own - just because I wouldn't have seen the value. This is not a knock, just that I wouldn't have thought that a to-do list application on its own would be so great. Now I know better!
Oh - for those of you who haven't heard of MacHeist, it's this Web site that is selling 11 great Mac programs for $49. I'm going to put a link to the Web site and if you click on it and buy, I get a 12th great app. I'm not trying to spam, seriously, CSSedit, 1password ... so many great apps!

I concur! I only hope Jesse (Hog Bay) made a good deal from it. Regardless, I've ben letting everyone I know about how much I love TaskPaper.
I must also say that I've been a long time user of WriteRoom as well - in fact I have both the 1.0 and 2.0 versions around. You make some brilliant apps!

Ditto. I am a New Task Paper User, long time Write Room user. I love the simplicity of your apps. Makes a tinkerer like me actually get to work rather than customize the world. :)

I also hope Jesse got a good deal. Perhaps there is a better deal this year? Regardless, I still bought the deal, couldn't resist such a great deal. There are only a few apps I am using from it now, and TaskPaper is easily the best part of the deal for me.

I hope to write-up my thoughts and experience on MacHiest once it's over and digested. But (who knows how smart I am) I'm pretty happy with the deal. So don't worry about me to much on that front... of course if you do think one of your friends should by TaskPaper point them to my site first! I do get a bit more that way :)

Well I'll hold my hands up to taking a slightly different approach. I first heard about Taskpaper a while ago when Mac User in the UK covered it. I then forgot all about it until I saw the line-up for MacHeist and decided that since I either already owned or didn't need the other apps I'd come and buy it directly from HogBay.

Hehe, just rereading that I said "deal" like six times. That's what happens when you are sick.

I bought the bundle, and TaskPaper was the only app therein that I already owned. So, I gave my bundle license to my brother. ;)
No offense to Jesse, but so far, for me, the best part of the bundle has been CSSEdit. Such a great time saver that I never would have bought on my own. (I'm in the "I can write CSS just fine in a text editor, what do I need this thing for?" until I go and buy a bundle like this and actually use it. Then I'm like, "OMG, this is so awesome!")
