Developing TaskPaper

Hey Jesse ;-)
I was wondering what software you are using to develop applications like TaskPaper and what exactly skills are needed... Where did you start your education and where I should ;)
Cheers, Filip

TaskPaper is a Cocoa/Objective-c based app created with Apple's Xcode development environment. That part I'm sure off...
That part is really hard for me to say... it's hard to know the skills that you already have. I was a CS Major/Studio Art Minor at Macalester College. I think being a CS Major is certainly a relatively safe way to go if you want to do software... but certainly not the only way. Lots of theory that I think is probably a good thing to learn once, but most of which I've since forgotten.
In addition to that I also worked at nearby St. Thomas in their "Object Lab". I can't really remember what I learned their, but the people were really interesting and introduced me to the world of SmallTalk. Since then I've done very little work with SmallTalk, but I consider myself on their team :) dynamic languages yeah! I guess most people are on that team now, it's a good team to be one. Last I worked at the University of Maryland HCIL Lab for three years. That gave me lots of freedom to read about and do software development with (Human Computer Interaction) in mind, and work with lots of great people.
That's where I've come from. It's hard to say if that was all necessary to do shareware, but I don't feel like I really wasted my time anywhere... didn't know anything (well tiny bit of basic) about programming going into college, so I wasn't one of those whiz kids who could start doing it out of high school :)

Thanks for long answer ;)
So it is entirely written in XCode, maybe except icons (Photoshop)? Then I think I will read some Apple's developer pages and try to write new, simple things ;)
Anyway, I can help with localizations. I'm from Poland, Apple is very popular here. And maybe Polish translations of your apps would be helpful? If you're interested, contact me (my Jabber: amused@jabber.org) :)
