The first email said:

"We were unable to access the core functionality of sharing over the network as mentioned in the marketing text since no ip address and port is given."

But WriteRoom.iPhone uses Bonjour for that. So I wrote back and said no IP address or port was needed. They wrote back and said:

"Core functionality was achieved as described in your documentation. Please resubmit your original binary and we will contact you if there are any problems."

I resubmitted immediately and am now waiting. Waiting is definitely irritating :)
Fri, 05 Sep 2008 09:29:35 -0500 jesse For anyone interested in [Q... http://hogbaysoftware.com/forums/hog_bay_software/topics/932_QuickCursor/comments/3942
For anyone interested in QuickCursor I just posted the project code here
Fri, 05 Sep 2008 09:23:39 -0500 jesse What was the reason for rej... http://hogbaysoftware.com/forums/hog_bay_software/topics/924_iPhone_apps/comments/3941
What was the reason for rejection? I have just been trying to some means to enable Edit in <insert favourite text editor> capability without the need for Input Managers.
Wed, 03 Sep 2008 09:32:33 -0500 Steve Hodgson Current status is not much ... http://hogbaysoftware.com/forums/hog_bay_software/topics/932_QuickCursor/comments/3922
Current status is not much has changed. You can download the most recent version from the QuickCursor page.

The only big change is that last week I began moving my codebase to github, and that make it a lot easier for me to share the code. Are you a developer interested in the QuickCursor sources? If so (or if anyone else is interested) I'll make an effort to clean things up a bit and get the QuickCursor code shared in github in the next few days. Let me know.
Wed, 03 Sep 2008 07:39:45 -0500 jesse Yes. I'm first releasing an... http://hogbaysoftware.com/forums/hog_bay_software/topics/924_iPhone_apps/comments/3874
Yes. I'm first releasing an iPhone version of WriteRoom as a test. That app is done, but was just this morning rejected from the app store, for what seems like a really dumb reason to me. I'm now trying to figure out how to get ahold of someone at the app store to argue that rejection. Grrg.

So once WriteRoom.iphone is in the app store and gets a bit of testing and feedback, then I'll start developing TaskPaper for the iphone based on a lot of the same code that I use for WriteRoom.iphone.

Shorter answer is, yes, work being done, but still at least a few months away.
Fri, 29 Aug 2008 08:34:01 -0500 jesse Wow, Bubbles is rising fast... http://hogbaysoftware.com/forums/hog_bay_software/topics/862_Bubbles_my_new_iPhone_app/comments/3844
Wow, Bubbles is rising fast in the charts again. I was trying to follow instructions on the Web for turning an ordinary project into a template, but kept getting error messages from Xcode about appending nil strings.

One thing: In the template the Factory produced, I had to go into the .xcodeproj bundle and remove two files, namely those with suffixes .mode1v3 and .pbxuser - after that it was fine.

This is on Leopard 10.5.4, Xcode 3.0.
Sat, 23 Aug 2008 02:28:49 -0500 GPM Yes, I signed up as an indi... http://hogbaysoftware.com/forums/hog_bay_software/topics/862_Bubbles_my_new_iPhone_app/comments/3788
Yes, I signed up as an individual.
Wed, 20 Aug 2008 06:05:31 -0500 jesse When you registered with Ap... http://hogbaysoftware.com/forums/hog_bay_software/topics/862_Bubbles_my_new_iPhone_app/comments/3787
When you registered with Apple as an iPhone developer, did you do so as an individual or as a company?

My own registration (as a company) is still in the queue, and I am beginning to think the registration as a company just slows down the paperwork.

Thanks!
Tue, 19 Aug 2008 19:45:17 -0500 Jeff Hultquist
